Okay just need a little help with groomsmen gift. Well, technically, best men’s gifts, as my fiance has two. For my MOH’s (I have 2 also) I bought a personalized tote for each of them and got all kinds of neat, yet very inexpensive, things to put in them. (Actually, I got that idea here from Y!A…lol). I’ve been trying so hard to get my fiance to figure out what he wants to get for his guys…but everytime we start to talk about it, it’s always "theres plenty of time left….i have no idea…." stuff like that and I highly doubt he’ll ever figure it out lol. So, I asked him what he thought about doing something similar to what I am for my girls (so-to-say)….he liked it. Problem is, I have no clue what would be a good "manly" thing to put the stuff in for one, and for two what stuff to put in it. As I said, my MOH’s stuff was very inexspensive, but still a lot of stuff. I want to do the same for the guys but have no inexpensive ideas! lol. The only idea I have is cigars and a nice lighter (as both the guys smoke cigars…). Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

You could always get a make up bag that looks like a shaving kit tote. Or a travel type tote. One that’s black or brown. This way it doesn’t look so much like a make up bag for girls.

Inside you can put a money clip, pocket knife, flask, shot glass, golf tee’s if they golf, business card holder. A lot of these things can be engraved too.

It smells old! Help me! Please?

I purchased a bag from an aquarium gift shop and I have a problem.

One of the items I purchased was a cotton tote bag. The problem – it came with a foul smell. A very sickening foul smell. My mother told me it must have been in a storage facility for years, for it to acquire such a smell. Its what she calls “an old clothes” smell.

Yes I know I should have been more careful when I purchased it. It was zipped up and I didn’t think to smell it. I didn’t notice until later that night. My partner and I had fly back home the following day so going back to return it was out of the question.

I love this bag. And I don’t want to trash it. I would like to rid it of the foul smell. PLEASE HELP!
The bag is black and grey. It doesn’t say anything about how to wash it. Its like those tote bags that they sell at museums. Canvas tote…I think?
I’ve washed twice!

Febreeze it. put it on light rinse cycle. itll be fine. (i am not held responsible if your bag is ruined in the process)

It means you would have whatever designs or phrases you like on your shirt/cap/shawl/flipflops/bags etc instead of having those branded goods with the designs and words already done by the designer.

If you age between 15- 25, pls state that in your answer.

Both. I like personalized brand names.
But you don’t find things like that very often.

Bridesmaids & new sisters (his sisters) gift bags…..help?

I am putting together some gift bags for my bridesmaids and my soon-to-be sisters in law. I’ve already purchased personalized tote bags and personalized make-up bags. I’ve also bought the wedding day/travel essentials. Tylenol, small sewing kit, hand lotion, ect. These are all small items and I want to bulk up the bag. The problem is that its getting expensive. Any ideas on what I can bulk up these bags with, without it blowing my budget way over? I am making 10 adult bags and 3 girls bags (ages between 4 – 9).

To keep it cheap, I’d make the following suggestions:

Gum – They’ll be speaking to guests all day/night long

Small mirror – They’ll want to make sure their makeup didn’t smudge

Small hairspray bottle – Self explanatory

Slippers/Flip-flops – If the dresses you chose will cover them so they’re not seen, it’s comfortable for them; otherwise if you chose t-length dresses it’ll look really tacky

Candies – Such as gummie bears or something to hold them over until dinner (if you don’t have an after-church brunch); Chocolate melts on a hot day!

Bobby pins and hairbands – Depending on what style you choose, you might need a few extra just in case

A "wet-nap" or travel fabric cleaner – For the unpredictable "oopses"

A bottle of hand sanitizer – (I don’t trust shaking hands with everyone on his side ha ha!)

Can some crafty person help me with ideas on how to make this kind of bag? I have tons of burlap and cotton, but the seller says she used cotton batting. What is this and how would I go about using it in this tote bag?
